I long to walk along the path
Of pink cherry blossoms in spring,
Holding your hands
As we marvel at their beauty
And lament their tragedy.
I long to feel the warmth
Of the midday sun in summer
Lying in your arms
As we remember memories
And dream new dreams.
I long to watch the golden leaves
Of autumn in their final dance
Listening to your voice
As we share our thoughts
And reflect over the choices that brought us there.
I long to bear the chill of the icy air
Of cold winter days
Being wrapped in your embrace
As we sip warm cups of coffee
And take our fill of happiness.
I long to be with you again.
As always Angeli, great writing.
